Hotel Scherlin

The place is incredible. It was our first trip to Alps but we decided t have it as a tradition. This hotel was the best place to celebrate New Year. They offered amazing dinner for reasonable price, organized amazing fireworks and even provided shuttle for those who wanted to join the disco in Ortisei. Tiziana and her family are the most welcoming people. The room quality and cleanliness was outstanding. Even every window was crispy clean and it is extremely important in the place like this where view is a big asset. Dinners and breakfast were very delicious. The amenities offered by the hotel were perfect: great size pools, saunas, nice cozy fireplace and many board games. The team working in this hotel is highly warm, welcoming and dedicated. My only suggestion for improvement would be to update the pillows and towels inventory.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Scherlin. The rooms are great! A lot of space, well designed and everything we needed. The food is great as well, with a lot of options for breakfast as well as for dinner. The staff was very friendly and always helpful and thinking ahead. The location itself is good as well, since it's close to Seiser Alm which is reachable with public transport (the hotel provides free travel cards)

Absolutely 10 out of 10 - we could not fault anything during our 10-night stay at the Hotel Scherlin, everything was just perfect. Food - while we originally booked our stay on a bed and breakfast basis, we decided when we arrived to dine at the hotel each evening for just an additional €25 per person per night. The food was excellent in terms of quality, variety and value for money. The menu comprised a buffet salad to start with a huge range of staples and daily specials, followed by a pasta or soup course, a second course of normally meat or fish and a good selection of desserts (if you have room for one!). Facilities - the indoor and outdoor pool were fantastic, especially after a hard day’s hiking. The outdoor sauna was also great. The hotel also offers indoor sauna & steam rooms and a wide range of gym equipment. Family - the Scherlin family were wonderful and very friendly and welcoming, especially towards our dog. The family work incredibly hard to provide a memorable experience, for which we were very grateful. Dog friendly - the hotel was very dog friendly with the owner owning one herself. She made lots of fuss of our Jack Russell, who got on brilliantly with her dog. Your four-legged friend is welcome at breakfast and dinner, albeit you have to dine in the bar area next to the formal dining room, which was not an issue for us at all. Our room - we booked the deluxe room, which was relatively new. It had a very comfortable bed, a fantastic walk-in shower and a fabulous balcony with glass balustrade so you can sit and admire the awesome views down the valley towards Ortisei and beyond. Parking - there is ample parking in the secure garage underneath the property with easy access to the lifts to the rooms etc. Location - the hotel commands an enviable position about 3 miles up the valley overlooking the town of Ortisei and benefits from a free and very regular bus service directly from outside of the hotel. In the 10 days of our stay, we didn’t use our car once.

We are spent 6 wonderful days in this hotel, which offers a superb view of Ortisei. There are enough parking spaces for all hotel guests, either in the basement or next to the hotel. The services are impeccable, the food is very tasty, the staff are friendly and very helpful. Thank you Tiziana, thank you Patrick, thank you Melanie! Congratulations to the chef and Igor! I highly recommend this hotel, we have already made a new reservation and can't wait to come back.

In January 2022, we spent 7 wonderful days at this hotel. I think this hotel can be an example of how to do tourism. It is positioned in an area with a wonderful landscape. Rooms are bright, have a daily cleaning service and are equipped with a 5 ***** level. Ad images are real. The food, a delicacy, prepared and served with love. The staff (family) attentive to all the details and ready to serve you with what you need. Even if it is not in the center of the locality, the public transport, free of charge, is well organized. Thanks to the hosts for their hospitality and we will definitely be back.
